No.0122:Morning Phase - A Comfort

January 30,2024

The title is a song by Beck, an American musician. It is a relaxing and soothing song that is perfect for starting the day. I was listening to it while walking this morning. I have had fewer hard mornings in the past few years. I can distance myself from the nausea caused by the irritation, despair, and excessive pressure of the gloomy days ahead. I have a good appetite and my weight is rather increasing. Above all, I am satisfied with my current life where I can walk in the morning.

This is a contrasting lifestyle from my past self. A corporate slave. I was not excellent, so I wanted to be recognized by working hard. I obediently obeyed the excessive demands from others. Because I wanted to be acknowledged. so I was such a convenient person, the burdens were placed on me one after another. I kept struggling to clean up the messy place, but I eventually felt ridiculous. Isn’t it too much for me? At first, I thought that it was because of my inadequacy that I couldn’t tidy up. The people who left the burdens on me also said the same thing. So I believed them without doubting.

If you are unlucky enough to be in a black environment, you need to doubt. If you are in the same place with the same people for a long time, your way of thinking becomes the same, for better or worse. You start to feel normal about the incomprehensible. In other words, you get used to it. You even feel annoyed by the questions about the incomprehensible. What are you talking about? It’s very dangerous. That’s why, if you’re not careful, you might be trapped there for life.

You should not let others control your destiny. You have to hold it yourself.

For that, I think it’s good to have a minimum knowledge of labor and fair trade laws. You shouldn’t become a complainer who claims every detail of dissatisfaction, but it can be a little weapon when you are locked in a black environment. It’s no good to worry by yourself. Your head is brainwashed by the organization, so if you’re not careful, you’ll be made to think that it’s your fault. You have to regain a balanced sense of yourself while getting advice from a professional consultation (reporting) window, with a minimum knowledge.

The word “common sense” used in a black organization is often unreasonable.

To maintain your independence without depending on the company or others, you need negotiation power. That is realized by competitiveness. To distance yourself from the bad organizations and individuals, to not be told “What are you talking about?” in response to “Isn’t that weird?”. To escape from the incomprehensible situation caused by the incomprehensible people and environment, you have to be needed by the non-incomprehensible people. Otherwise, you’ll have to keep bowing to the incomprehensible people and being used cheaply. That’s why you need competitiveness based on your proud abilities.
When you are locked in an organization, you don’t hesitate to spend a lot of time and effort on the instructions from the organization, but on the other hand, you are not interested in spending effort on improving your skills that are suitable for you, that have nothing to do with the current organization you belong to, and that might be the trigger for your future leap. I have also been told by my colleagues that studying something that has nothing to do with the execution of my work is meaningless and wasteful. It’s not easy to break away from the dependence on the organization in such an environment. If you are dissatisfied with the current organization, I think it is important to allocate a considerable amount of time to the future important (②) and to be strongly aware of not being robbed of a lot of time by the current unnecessary (③).
There is no night that does not dawn.
